4. ROLLERCOASTER by Northwave and Drake
“The project is not a classic snowboard movie with 100 heavy action shots. This movie is more about the different personalities of the Northwave / Drake women’s team. We go through the ups and downs as we follow the individual paths that snowboarding is leading us to.” Lia-Mara Bösch
“I think the best part has been all the trips we did together because we were getting to know each other beyond just snowboarding. I’m so happy about it. These people are also my family, and I’m really glad about that.” – Nata
5. FORCE MAJEURE by Beyond Medals
The Beyond Medals crew is back with another masterpiece. With epic cinematography, stunning production, and breathtaking snowboarding, Force Majeure delivers a whole new level of stoke.
6. RUNNERS by Lib Tech
After a challenging start to the 23/24 NW winter, Lib Tech Rippers Kai Huggin, Brayden Charrette and Matteo Soltane went on the run, meeting Devin Tubbs down in Tahoe for some Sierra storms. Tim Zimmerman guided them into Grenade-era zones. Al Grogan facilitated and filmed until he got into a fight with a snowmobile and handed the reins over to Matteo to finish the trip. Meanwhile, Phil Hansen was a runner himself heading down Wasatch’s way to dissect Utah’s lines and kickers with friendly filmers Kevin and Ely.
7. SEARCH PARTY by Videograss and Slush
Videograss is back, and their decades-long odyssey of senders & enders continues with Search Party. Logging footage for mass consumption at coordinates unknown, Justin Meyer, Colton Morgan, Parish Isaacs, and the rest of the Search Party production team spanned the planet, stacking clips and seeking spots. Tommy Gesme, Layne Treeter, Jill Perkins, Ben Bilodeau, Reid Smith, Louif Paradis, Justin Phipps, Dan Liedahl, Robby Meehan, Mike Ravelson, and more were enlisted to the Search Party crew to ensure that the latest addition to the Videograss canon is an apt continuation of its legacy.
8. SOFIA, A STORY OF A HALF DAY TICKET by Volcom Snow
A 16mm snowboard film starring Arthur Longo, Jadyn Chomlack and Cannon Cummins filmed and edited by Olivier Gittler capturing friendship glued together through empathy and spontaneous adventure. Shot entirely on and around ski-resorts in Europe, Japan, Canada, USA and New Zealand.
9. HEAVEN by Rene Rinnekangas
“The idea was to continue in the footsteps of our first, Sugared, with the aim to combine the different elements of snowboarding like street, backcountry and free-terrain. We were filming the project for about 2,5 years but had to take a year’s break due to injury halfway through. The movie is divided into four parts, and the atmosphere and rhythm change according to the four seasons.
One of the most memorable moments from Heaven is the “clock-spot” from Pielavesi. We built this 2-metre-high and 13-metre-long bridge just to get enough speed to make the spot rideable, and we’ve got our construction master, Jere Pääkkönen, to thank for this. Thank you to my filmer Anton Kiiski, photographer Tatu Toivanen, and all the riders and sponsors for making this happen. Thank you, snowboarding.” – Rene
10. HORSEPOWER by Henna Ikola and Lolo Derminio
“It ain’t always easy or fun, but we really do love this shit. Kiitos.” – Lolo
“It was an adventure. It took a couple of broken cars, one moose, and a couple of injuries, but we made it happen. I feel very grateful to be able to do this with amazing people.” – Henna
11. BLITZ! by The North Face
Blitz! is a snowboarding film by The North Face coming out in December 2024. Generated by team athletes Spencer Schubert and Blake Paul, Blitz! highlights the energy of freeride snowboarding across a variety of terrains. Filmed and edited by Colton Feldman, the piece also features Kennedi Deck, Austin Smith, Cole Navin and more.
12. THE RIDE by Ethan Morgan
“This movie idea has been stuck in my brain for the last four years, and I have to say it has been driving me a bit crazy. I spent lots of sleepless nights thinking about it and lots of long days and nights out there putting in work for it to be the way I envisioned it. This movie is no ordinary movie; it is a trip, so if you like to trip, I would advise you to have a trip with me and enjoy the ride.” – Ethan
13. GREAT ALASKAN ADVENTURE by Jamie Anderson and Tyler Nicholson
