How will beginners get on?

With dedicated infrastructures across the ski area, children and beginners can learn to ski and snowboard in a safe and enjoyable environment. From specially designed beginner areas in Proclou or Lindarets to gentle, well-groomed slopes, the resort offers ideal conditions for those taking their first turns on the snow.

Pistes/park/powder

With its varied, XXL terrain, Avoriaz is a must for snowboarders of all levels. Located in the heart of the Portes du Soleil, the resort offers access to 600km of pistes, ranging from wide boulevards perfect for carving to steep slopes ideal for freeride. Thanks to its altitude of 1800 metres and guaranteed snow cover, powder enthusiasts will find exceptional off-piste itineraries, notably in the Arare and Hauts-Forts sectors.

On the freestyle side, Avoriaz stands out for its unique offering in France, with four snowparks suited to all levels:

  • Le Stash, a concept designed by Burton combining wooden modules and a natural environment in the Lindarets forest.
  • Le Lil’ Stash, a fun and playful area for children.
  • Snowpark de la Chapelle, ideal for improving your skills, with lines for beginners and intermediates.
  • Le Snowpark d’Arare, the playground for experienced riders with its big kickers and technical rails.

How to get there?

As the resort is 100% pedestrian, access by car is via Morzine. You can park your vehicle in one of the parking lots at the entrance to the resort (covered or outdoor), then reach your accommodation by horse-drawn sleigh, snowcat or shuttle bus.

The nearest train station is Cluses or Thonon-les-Bains, served by TGV and regional trains. Bus and cab transfers are also available for easy access to the resort.

The nearest airport is Geneva, which is an hour-and-a-half away, and offers numerous international flights. From the airport, several shuttle services and private transfers are available to take you directly to Avoriaz.

Avoriaz offers a wide range of accommodation options, to suit every preference and budget. Choose from hotels of various categories, each offering comfort and convenience. For a more personalized experience, opt for a charming chalet or a fully equipped apartment.

Where to Eat

Whether you’re a fan of gourmet cuisine or traditional Alpine flavors, Avoriaz offers a rich and diverse gastronomic scene. With some forty restaurants in the resort and more than double that number on the slopes, there’s something for everyone.
