Livigno: temporary pause due to the Winter Olympics and Paralympics 2026For almost twenty years, the Livigno World Rookie Fest has been one of the most iconic events of our winter calendar.
This season, Livigno and Mottolino Snowpark are fully focused on their crucial role in the Milano–Cortina 2026 Winter Olympics and Paralympics, where the resort will host all eight Olympic freestyle disciplines.

Because of this historic commitment, the event will take a break for winter 2025/26.

“Mottolino has grown alongside freestyle, and the Livigno World Rookie Fest has written twenty years of this story with us, turning our destination into the cradle of new generations of riders.
In 2026, Livigno will host all eight Olympic freestyle disciplines — six of which will take place right here at Mottolino.
It’s a historic moment that requires our full commitment and leads us to pause the event for this winter.”
— Ian Rocca, Mottolino S.p.A.

Innsbruck Rookie Fest expands to snowboarding
The iconic Innsbruck Rookie Fest, a long-time highlight for freeskiers, is stepping up to a whole new level.
This winter, snowboarders will also compete at Nordkette Skyline Park, joining the freeski competition and doubling the intensity of the event.
Same urban energy, same progression, now with both disciplines side by side.
World Rookie Street Tour kicks off in Riga
Before snow season even begins, the World Rookie Street Tour will officially open the winter calendar.
The first stop will take place on 29–30 November in Riga, with the RaR Rookie Fest Riga, bringing the Rookie spirit into the streets with rail battles, progression, and pure creativity.
More street stops will follow throughout Europe.
Ursus Rookie Fest: 25 to 29 January 2026
To complete the Italian stage of the season, from January 25th to 29th, the snowboard community will meet at the Ursus Rookie Fest in Madonna di Campiglio.
Hosted at Ursus Snowpark, considered one of the premium freestyle parks of the entire Alpine region, the event will feature a FIS Snowboard Slopestyle competition.
Full details and registrations will open next week with a dedicated announcement.
