Finland Rookie Fest – Iso-Syöte16th – 18th January, 2026
The Finland Rookie Fest returns in 2026 at Iso-Syöte Snowpark, one of the most iconic freestyle destinations in Finnish Lapland. Known for its reliable snow conditions and clean park setup, Iso-Syöte offers the perfect environment for rookies to focus on progression and competition in a truly international context.
Riders will compete in slopestyle and big air, two disciplines designed to highlight creativity, control and progression on high-quality features. Open to snowboarders, this event is a key stop to start the season strong and measure yourself against riders from all over the world, surrounded by pure Nordic freestyle vibes.
Ursus Rookie Fest – Madonna di Campiglio25th – 29th January, 2026
The Ursus Rookie Fest returns to Madonna di Campiglio as a key snowboard stop of the World Rookie Tour, hosted at the iconic Ursus Snowpark. Known for its premium setup and professional shaping, this event stands out for its high competitive level, attracting riders focused on performance and progression.
The competition offers the opportunity to earn WSPL points, making Ursus Rookie Fest a strategic stop for snowboarders aiming to improve their international ranking while competing in a structured, high-level contest environment. A world-class park, serious judging standards and a strong field of riders make this event a must for those looking to take a real step forward in their competitive path.
Event recap: Groms Open Rookie Fest – Mayrhofen
The Groms Open Rookie Fest, held at PenkenPark in Mayrhofen, has already delivered a clear message: the next generation is more than ready.
In the Grom Boys category, Hayden Jacobs (AUS) took the win with a confident and consistent performance, followed by Ricco Nawarkiewicz-Wisniewski (POL) in second place. Logan Cuss (AUS) completed the podium, confirming the strong presence of Australian riders in this category.The Rookie Boys competition showcased depth and progression, with Sunny Lane (AUS) stepping on the top of the podium after a solid showing. He was followed by David Hlavasek (CZE) in second place, while Ethan Owen (GBR) secured third, rounding out a podium that highlighted the international nature of the event.In the Girls category, Sofie Veberova (CZE) claimed the victory with a composed and technically strong run. She was joined on the podium by Valerie Schwab (GER) in second place and Maja Krauerova (CZE) in third, confirming the high level of riding coming from the European scene.Thanks to these results, all podium riders have already secured their spot in the World Rookie Tour Snowboard Finals, scheduled to take place from March 21st to March 28th at Kitzsteinhorn, Zell am See–Kaprun — a major milestone on the World Rookie Tour pathway and a key step toward the final stage of the season.
