Which of the riders will triumph at Powder Mountain, Myoko and RND at Whitewater to join wild cards including Rice, the YETI Natural Selection Revelstoke
On the eve of the window opening for the YETI Natural Selection Revelstoke, Natural Selection Super Sessions and Research & Development (RND) will premiere revealing the entire roster that will ride in Revy. Both Super Sessions and RND will premiere on March 9 on Red Bull TV, with the top six riders, two from each event, being announced at the end of the shows and during the YETI Natural Selection Revelstoke Opening Ceremony where riders are announced to a live audience.
From Japan’s Powder Pillows, the Powder Mountain’s new DMI, and Whitewater’s infamous Trash Chutes, many of snowboarding’s most exciting up-and-comers take on legends and Tour veterans for a spot in Revelstoke, by laying down film-part worthy lines.
The updated premiere date follows a mid-winter climate reset that required shifts across all Super Session event windows. Rather than force riders to compete on suboptimal conditions, NST followed Mother Nature’s lead. With the shifts, NST decided to double down on its commitment to progression and pathway-building—investing further in RND, the women’s backcountry freestyle event founded by former NST Champion Robin Van Gyn.
Film Part Meets Comp Day for the Women at RND
Created by 2021 NST Champion Robin Van Gyn, RND is an invite-only backcountry snowboard contest designed to accelerate progression and prepare women to compete at the highest level. The event features 14 invited riders and unfolds across one jam-style contest day in Whitewater’s legendary Trash Chutes—stacked with pillows, chutes, and hand-built features—plus two on-mountain filming days throughout the resort and sidecountry.
In just two years, three women have progressed from RND to NST competition—proof of concept for Van Gyn’s vision of a defined pathway into elite freeride competition.
This year’s RND lineup includes: Estelle Pensiero, Egan Wint, Katie Kennedy, Ellery Manning, Amelia Pelchat, Enni Rukajärvi, Marissa Krawczak, Celia Petrig, Stefi Luxton, Ellie Weiler, Yuka Fujimori, Eva Van Vugt, Maria Hidalgo, and Audrey Doan.
Riders receive a combined score from their best judged run and strongest filmed trick, competing for a $10,000 prize purse and two coveted spots on the 2026 Natural Selection Tour. Presented by Arc’teryx and YETI, the third annual event will take place February 23 – March 3, 2026, at Whitewater Mountain Resort in Nelson, British Columbia.
Super Sessions: Full Rider Lists and Global Venues
Evolving from DUELS, Super Sessions replaces head-to-head matchups with a session-based format emphasizing creativity, line choice, and natural terrain expression. Riders compete in dynamic zones in Utah and Japan with select athletes advancing to the YETI Natural Selection Revelstoke finals.
Powder Mountain, Utah – “Don’t Mention It” (DMI)
Powder Mountain’s expansive DMI zone—beneath James Peak—sets the stage with cliff bands, spines, and technical chutes across 1,000+ acres of raw terrain. This year NST rides it, next year it opens to the world.
Two of these riders will advance from Utah:
- Blake Paul
- Brin Alexander
- Garrett Warnick
- Brock Crouch (the final addition to the Powder Mountain lineup)
To kick things off, everyone is invited to meet up with the riders and Natural Selection crew at evo Salt Lake City on February 20 from 6:30 PM – 8:00 PM. It’s free and open to all.
Note: The actual Super Sessions competitions are closed to the public.
Myōkō, Japan
Returning to one of the deepest snowpacks on earth, Myōkō’s rolling volcanic terrain provides a fast, technical canvas.
Two of these riders will advance from Japan:
- Mateo Massitti
- Mason Lemery
- Miles Fallon
- Takeru Otsuka
- And a surprise guest!
