Tidal IV Art Show 2025

A week of snowboarding and creativity in the Swiss Alps.

High above the clouds in Laax, Switzerland, ten international and Swiss artists came together for a
creative retreat in the iconic GALAAXY building, where snowboarding breaks, sunset Aperol
Spritz, and shared meals with an in-house chef became as integral to the experience as the created
artworks themselves.

The fourth edition of the Tidal residency, curated by artists Aaron Schwartz (SUI) and Jonathan
Voellmy (SUI) culminated in a two-night exhibition at the Riders Club, showcasing a diverse range
of work including 16mm film, lino prints, installations, snowboards, painting, sculpture, illustration,
sun-based photography prints, and a live audio performance based on the sound of melting ice.

Participating artists in Tidal IV included:
Jessa Gilbert (USA), Janiv Oron (SUI), Alexander Tank (GER), Lucas Beaufort (FRA), Thomas
Stöckli (SUI), Dean “Blotto” Gray (USA), Dion Agius (AUS), Flora Mottini (SUI), and Laila
Blessano (SUI).

Tidal offered artists the chance to hang out, create, and shred together at altitude — a rare
opportunity to slow down, connect, and dive into their process with the Swiss Alps as the backdrop
to their workspace. The space encouraged both collaborative work and solo exploration, all in a
laid-back, family setting that felt like home.
