The Uninvited Japan Open Returns to Nekoma Mountain in February 2027

The Uninvited Japan Open is heading back to Japan’s Nekoma Mountain from February 19–21, 2027, with a bigger prize purse, a new course and another round of Japan’s emerging snowboard talent.

The Uninvited is heading back to Hoshino Resorts’ Nekoma Mountain for the 2027 edition of The Uninvited Japan Open, taking place February 19-21, 2027. The announcement follows an inaugural event that delivered jaw-dropping riding and an atmosphere to match.

The first Uninvited Japan Open brought together riders with effortless, laidback style and a crowd that met them with the same infectious, gratitude-filled energy. Given that response, a return to Nekoma was an easy call. Although only the top three finishers earned a spot at The 2026 Uninvited Invitational, the event ultimately produced 11 invites. Japanese riders took home a combined $27,000 USD in prize money.

For 2027, the stakes are higher. The event will feature an increased prize purse and a brand-new course designed by The Uninvited’s own Ben Bilocq. Organizers expect new names, new tricks, and a level of riding that is hard to comprehend, from riders at ages few would have thought possible.
