The Common Line: Whistler and Seattle

The whole community that supports snowboarding came together, showing up in force to celebrate the opening of The Common Line.

The Common Line Project is “an art and ride journey to bring snowboarding back to its roots” created by Lucas Beaufort.

“We’re setting out a global journey to reignite the untamed spirit and raw culture of snowboarding, free from rivalry and ego .

What we’re building is grounded in culture and passion, a deep desire to share who we are, to truly listen and to reconnect with the soul of snowboarding.

From Whistler to Summit at Snoqualmie, through Laax, Avoriaz, Mayrhofen, Levi, Oslo, Asahikawa and Nanshan, we will sit down with the industry and open the door for the community to join the conversation:  Why are we doing this? What comes next? How can we make snowboarding more accessible for everyone?

The experience will live on and off snow with support from Ride, Salomon, Capita, Dinosaurs Will Die, K2, Nitro, 32, Public, Rome, Union, Sims, Whitespace, Korua, Arbor, Slash, Spring Break, Bataleon, Gnu, Lib Tech, Nidecker, Shorty’s,… We’ll invite people to join us and ride together as a collective. This is about giving back and supporting the Brick-and-Mortar shops that built this culture from the ground up.”

Here’s the full video from the Industry Panel talk from Whistler last weekend, feautring Mark Sollors, Mikey Cicarelli, Jess Kimura, Darrah Reid, Devun Walsh, Dano Pendygrasse, Jon Martin, Mary France Roy, Ben Belioiq, Gabe Langlois, Lucas Belfort, Chris Rasman, Caleb Chomlack, and Nick Heringa.

Next stop: JAPAN (Asahikawa) — January 23–24.
