Swatch Nines is an unconventional event series where action sports culture is shaped, celebrated and showcased. Its 18-year legacy continues to evolve in 2026 as Nines reaches new destinations—including its debut in Asia—and embraces more sports than ever before: snowboarding, skiing, mountain biking, BMX, surfing, and skateboarding.
Here’s what to know at a glance:
- For the first time, the Snow event will be held in Japan, making its debut in Niseko from the 6th to the 11th of April.
- The Bike event will return to Sölden, Austria from the 15th to the 20th of June, and will officially add BMX to the mix.
- Waco Surf in Texas will host the third installment of Swatch Nines Surf & Skate from the 8th to the 10th of October.
Even as its scope continues to expand, Swatch Nines remains committed to its core mission: creating spectacular yet safe playgrounds to explore the boundaries of human talent and imagination. As the event series continues to evolve and adapt to meet the needs of action sports culture, the eagerness of new sports and destinations to become part of its story is a clear validation of its mission.
“This year’s Swatch Nines calendar is more diverse and expansive than ever. It’s incredibly rewarding to see that new places and new sports are clamoring to become a part of the Nines experience, and it’s an honor to see our platform expand to include them. Asia, here we come!” – Nico Zacek, Swatch Nines founder
Swatch Nines Snow | 6–11 April 2026 | Niseko, Japan
This spring, Swatch Nines will make its much-anticipated debut on the Asian continent. Niseko Tokyu Grand HIRAFU plays host as the Nines brings its unique formula to Japan. The vision: scenic views of Mt. Yotei as the backdrop for a flowy setup that blurs the lines between slopestyle, big air and halfpipe, while an integrated skate section keeps the cross-disciplinary juices flowing. A Public Day on Saturday, April 11th, invites spectators to watch the athletes throw it down.
