The second edition of Red Bull Night Rider drew over 2,000 spectators yesterday to the base of the El Tarter sector in Grandvalira, on a night marked by heavy snowfall that began on Friday and left one of the largest accumulations recorded in the last 25 years . The storm transformed the scene into a true winter spectacle, adding to the epic nature of each run.
The event, heir to the historic Atomic Night Fever , once again combined competition, showmanship, and close interaction with the public , consolidating a format that had already become a benchmark in 2025. This edition stood out for a completely new, much more demanding course, designed to enhance creativity and innovation in each module.
The circuit included two main structures – a technical stair rail and a powerful pull jump powered by Hyperx, built by the Snowparks and Freestyle Activities team of Grandvalira Soldeu – El Tarter, guaranteeing maximum safety for riders and spectators.
In the words of Enric Bonvehí , Head of Snowparks and Freestyle Activities at Grandvalira: “Everyone had an amazing time and noticed the extra spice the new setup brought, making it much more fun and creative. Despite the storm, we had a huge crowd, which shows how much people wanted to experience this evening. The shaping team gave it their all, battling the storm, moving and removing snow nonstop to ensure the course was perfect. When things are difficult, the satisfaction of seeing the result is even greater. Thanks also to Red Bull for making it possible. This is the result of teamwork and the love we all have for what we do.”
International riders from Europe and Latin America competed in men’s and women’s snowboarding. The format combined Jam Sessions and Best Trick , with each participant’s best run being scored and the most outstanding maneuvers of the night being awarded. The proximity of the crowd made every landing and every spin thrilling.

- Women: Maija Hokkanen (Finland)
Maija Hokkanen, winner in women’s snowboard , added: “I didn’t expect to see such a large crowd and how close we could feel them at each of the features. The setup was also a great surprise, allowing me to give my all in every run.”
Mario Pretzel, winner in men’s snowboard : “At first, when I saw the competition setup, I thought it wasn’t quite right for my style, but as the rounds went by, I adapted and was able to give my best performance.”
