Nidecker Snowboards Signs Ellery Manning

Swiss brand welcomes one of backcountry snowboarding’s most exciting young talents.

ROLLE, Switzerland (27 MAR 26) – Nidecker Snowboards has signed Ellery Manning to its rider team. The Truckee, California native is the latest addition to a growing North American roster, hot on the heels of recent recruits including Liam Brearley, Jed Sky and Sam Anderson.

Manning arrives with momentum behind her. In March 2024, the then-high school senior was called in as a late alternate to the inaugural Research & Development contest at Whitewater Resort, BC — Robin Van Gyn’s all-women’s backcountry freestyle event — and promptly won the whole thing, earning a spot at the 2025 Natural Selection Tour. At Revelstoke, she was among the youngest competitors in the field and drew praise for riding with a poise and flow beyond her years. Now 19, she is widely regarded as one of the most exciting freeriders of her generation.

Manning’s roots in snowboarding run deep. She grew up lapping Alpine Meadows with her family in Truckee, and her father, Tim Manning, is a legendary figure in snowboard filmmaking. That immersion in the culture shines through in her riding.

“Ellery is the real deal,” says Global Sports Marketing Manager Tom Pelley, “a young rider with a great attitude and insane potential. The backcountry instinct is there, the creative flair is there, and she’s just getting started. We’re stoked to see what she does with the full support of the brand behind her.”

Ellery is also pumped on the move: “Nidecker felt like a really natural fit for me because the brand is so
forward-focused. I can truly see myself growing and thriving in that environment. I’m really looking forward to working on some film projects and just continuing to have fun in the mountains.”

Manning is riding the Nidecker Venus Plus snowboard, Kaon Plus bindings and Rift Pro boots.
