Mia Brookes and Eli Bouchard win the World Cup Flachau at Absolut Park

At the FIS Snowboard World Cup Flachau in AbsolutPark, the international snowboard elite delivered top performances lat weekend: In a high-class field featuring the best ten women and fourteen men, Mia Brookes (GBR) and Eli Bouchard (CAN) claimed victory, earning double WSPL points and a share of the €70,000 prize purse. Local Anna Gasser finished her competition season in second place.

The women found perfect spring conditions in the AbsolutPark Pro Line and thrilled spectators with a spectacular show. Leading the charge was Mia Brookes: With four wins during this snowboard week, the Brit was crowned the “AbsolutPark Queen 2026.” After already triumphing in the Spring Battle rail and slopestyle events and winning the audience award, she also proved her dominance in the World Cup final, confidently beating strong international competition.

Her very first run, featuring outstanding rail tricks as well as a backside 900 melon and a cab 900 tail, earned her 73.25 points and the win. Her excitement at the finish was clear:

The whole week went really great for me. Especially after the disappointing Olympics, it was amazing to win here and regain confidence. I’ll definitely be back next year!

Second place went to local superstar Anna Gasser, who, disappointed with her first run score, significantly increased the difficulty of her rail tricks and was rewarded with 72.43 points. The 34-year-old from Carinthia explained:

I’m so happy that after more than 12 years of competing in snowboarding, I can still compete at the very top. I’m really glad it worked out here at home. A positive ending for me after a very difficult season.

Third place went to American rider Lily Dhawornvej with 66.61 points, who also took the lead in the overall World Cup standings.

Winter conditions returned to AbsolutPark for the men’s final featuring the top 14 riders. Just at 18 years old, Canada’s Eli Bouchard stood out with his unique style. His signature trick, the McBouch, along with a cab triple 16 mute on the kickers and incredible rail tricks, earned him 81.11 points and the win. Bouchard said after the final:

I fought hard at the Spring Battle at the start of the week, but things didn’t quite come together. For the World Cup, I made some adjustments on the rails, and that worked well. I love AbsolutPark, the Spring Battle is simply my favorite contest of the year. Riding a World Cup on the same course is just amazing.

Joining him on the podium were Spring Battle winner Judd Henkes (USA) in second place and Hiroto Ogiwara (JPN) in third. For X-Games champion Ogiwara, it was his first Slopestyle World Cup podium.

The FIS Snowboard World Cup Flachau at AbsolutPark once again underlined the venue’s importance as one of Europe’s leading freestyle destinations, with perfect conditions, a relaxed atmosphere, world-class riding, and enthusiastic fans on site.
