From their first contest at Mottolino Snowpark, Livigno World Rookie Fest (2006) to a four-season global tour: snowboard, skateboard, surf. This is the story they built together.
Over the last ten years, the picture has been completed: new sports have joined, the calendar has become year-round, and more rookies than ever have turned passion into a profession. You’ll recognize the path in the riders’ journeys: Takeru Otsuka(three WRT Finals → X Games gold), Kokomo Murase (rookie at 11 → Olympian & X Games champion), Valentino Guseli (World Cup podiums across pipe, slope, big air), Hiroto Ogiwara (two-time WRT Champion → Guinness World Record for the first backside 1980), Matej Švancer (Youth Olympic gold & FIS World Cups),Leila Iwabuchi (first women’s back-to-back 1260 line), Toe Sasaki (2024 World Skateboarding Championship gold), and Mia Brookes (youngest Snowboard World Champion).
But the World Rookie Tour has never been only about contests. It’s workshops, friendships, shared trips, first clips, and the feeling of growing together: riders, coaches, parents, teams, partners.
